Ropati at No.1 again for Warriors

5:06 am on 11 July 2010

Jerome Ropati will make his second straight start at fullback in an unchanged Warriors side to take on the table-topping Panthers in the National Rugby League at Penrith today.

Ropati replaces regular fullback and fellow Kiwi star Lance Hohaia, who was originally expected to regain the spot after being named there when the team was announced.

But Hohaia didn't train with the team on Friday and was ruled out of making the trip to Sydney after failing to fully recover from the groin injury which forced him out of last weekend's big win over Parramatta.

Lewis Brown will start in the centres while coach Ivan Cleary is yet to confirm whether Sione Lousi or Ukuma Ta'ai will start in the second row with captain Simon Mannering.

It means the Warriors will now use the same 17 players who lined up against the Eels.
