The V8 Supercars driver Mark Winterbottom has won the Sunday race of the Townsville 400.
In what proved to be one of the toughest races of the year, Ford's Winterbottom beat the home championship leader James Courtney, to give Ford a 1-2 result.
The defending two-time champion and winner of the first race yesterday, Jamie Whincup, was classified 23rd after brakes issues ruined his hopes.
All teams now have eight weeks off before reconvening at Phillip Island for the first endurance race of the year.
