The All Black halfback Piri Weepu says he wasn't totally surprised by the head-butt in the first Tri-Nations test that resulted in Springboks lock Bakkies Botha being banned for 9 weeks.
Weepu says the South African sides like to intimidate their opposition both physically and verbally and that was the case at Eden Park on Saturday night.
However when pressed by the media he preferred to compliment his team-mates on the way they handled the niggle....
Weepu could start this weekend in Wellington with Jimmy Cowan suffering from an abdominal strain.
Alby Mathewson has been brought in as cover along with Zac Guildford following injuries to Richard Kahui and Joe Rokocoko.
