Boks coach sees no reason to read riot act

The Springboks rugby coach Peter de Villiers isn't panicking in the wake of their 20-point loss to the All Blacks last Saturday, and he doesn't feel the need to tear strips of his team who were so comprehensively outplayed at Eden Park.

In Wellington preparing for the second Tri-Nations test, de Villiers says he hasn't given his team a lecture because he doesn't believe they played that badly in Auckland.

A calf muscle injury has ruled out the Springbok Prop Jannie du Plessis from this weekend's test, while the All Blacks will have a better idea about the fitness of halfback Jimmy Cowan and winger Joe Rococoko after this morning's training run.

Three quarter Richard Kahui has already been ruled out.
