The All Whites have officially been ranked as the 22nd best team at the World Cup.

Fifa's post-tournament rankings placed winners Spain ahead of the Netherlands, Germany and Uruguay and mirrored the final positions in the tournament.

England had their worst ever World Cup and were ranked 13th out of the 32 teams.

Fifa's rankings take into account group stage results, progress in the competition and the quality of opposition.

New Zealand, who went into the tournament with the second lowest world ranking, were ranked ahead of teams like Italy, France, Serbia, Denmark Greece and Nigeria.

Fifa's latest world rankings will be released tonight, with world champions Spain poised to reclaim top spot from Brazil.
