Caddie criticises world number one's form ahead of the Open

Tiger Woods' New Zealand caddie Steve Williams has openly criticised the standard of the world number one's form just days before the British Open at St Andrews in Scotland.

Williams says Wood's putting is very sub-standard and he hasn't putted well at any of his events this year.

Williams, who's caddied for Woods since 1999, says it's frustrating having watcehd Woods play such good golf in the past to now see him fail to make any improvement over an extended period.

Woods hasn't won a tournament since returning from his five-month exile in the wake of allegations of extra marital affairs.

His lack of form's prompted him to change his putter for the first time in 11 years as he chases his fourth British Open, discarding the model he's used to win 13 of his 14 major titles.
