The Boston Celtics have re-signed their captain and forward Paul Pierce and added former Miami Heat big man Jermaine O'Neal.
Pierce says he hopes the signings and others this summer will help the Celtics make another run at the National Basketbalol Association title that eluded them this year.
The Celtics lost to the Los Angeles Lakers in game seven.
Pierce says the core of that team's intact and he's looking forward to bringing an 18th title to Boston.
The 2008 NBA finals MVP is the Celtics' third all-time leading scorer with 19,899 points and trails only Larry Bird and John Havlicek.
