Tua not going into latest fight with open mind

12:55 pm on 18 July 2010

It might be Monte Barrett's last professional fight but heavyweight boxer David Tua says he won't be underating the American when the two fight in Atlantic City this afternoon.

The fight is part of Tua's on-going bid to gain another world title fight, with the 39 year old Barrett having had 44 fights over a 14 year professional career.

Tua says it's important he doesn't go into the bout with any preconceived ideas as to how Barrett will fight.

The 37-year-old says the American's challenged for the world title a few times, and despite not winning the bouts', he's sure this afternoon's fight will be a good test.

The fight starts at 1pm.
