The Tour de France has ended its second week with Luxembourg's Andy Schleck and Spain's defending champion Alberto Contador still on top, though second and third places on stage 14 went to their nearest challengers Russia's Dennis Menchov and the Spaniard Samuel Sanchez.

The stage was won by Frenchman Christophe Riblon, while Schleck and Contador cost themselves 14 seconds playing mind games as neither would lead the way towards the stage finish.

In the overall standings Schleck leads Contador by 31 seconds, Sanchez is 2 minutes 31 down on the leader, and Menchov is at 2 minutes 44.

The next three stages are in the Pyrenees.
