The 27-year -old South African golfer Louis Oosthuizen has won the 150th centenary Open championship, running away with his first major title by a crushing seven strokes at St Andrews in Scotland.
A 200 to 1 outsider going into the championship, Oosthuizen led for three days and cruised to victory with a 16-under par total, the first time he's completed four rounds in a major championship.
After a close race for the minor placings, England's Lee Westwood finished second on 9 -under par.
There was a 3-way tie for third between the first round leader Rory McIlroy, Swede Henrik Stenson, and England's Paul Casey whose challenge vlew up with a triple bogey 7 on the 12th hole, and another South African Retief Goosen was 6th.
The favourite Tiger Woods tied for 23rd on 3-under par.
