New Zealand's Scott Dixon has lost ground in the Indycar series after crashing this morning on the Toronto street circuit.

Dixon was running fourth late in the race when Ryan Hunter-Reay's car nudged him into the wall.

It's the second time this year Dixon's failed to finish and while the former champion is still third he's dropped 40 points to be 78 behind the leader with seven rounds to go.

Australia's Will Power won for the fourth time this season and is now 42 points clear of Dixon's team-mate Dario Franchitti.
