Those close to Louis Oosthuizen are predicting great things for the new British Open champion after his runaway win at St Andrews.
The three-time former Open champion Gary Player says it was a special day as South Africa was also celebrating Nelson Mandela's 92nd birthday, and Player has had a long association with Oosthuizen's caddy, Zack Rasego.
He says when he built the Sun City golf course 30 years ago he told the owner he wanted to start a caddying programme for black men.
Player says Rasego excelled and caddied for him in the Open, doing a great job.
With a great caddy and a classic swing Player says Oosthuizen should go from strength to strength.
