Sweden's former Ryder Cup player, Jesper Parnevik, suffered a new injury setback and was forced to retire in his first tournament back after six months of inaction.
The 45-year-old played only 11 holes of the Scandinavian Masters second round before pulling out with a neck injury.
The Swede had been sidelined for half a year by a back problem which required an operation on a damaged vertebrae earlier in the year.
His latest injury blow came after he tangled with thick rough at Bro Hof Slott's 12th hole.
