Clark Ellice finished more than a minute behind the winner, Spain's Javier Gomez, in 17th to be the best of the New Zealanders, with Kris Gemmell crossing the line four places behind.

Martin van Barneveld and Ryan Sissons only managed 39th and 40th in a 65-strong field, while the 2008 Olympic bronze medalist, Bevan Docherty, failed to finish.
