Brown's looking good to retain European Tour playing card

The New Zealand golfer Mark Brown has taken a big step towards retaining his fully exempt status on the European Tour.

His two year exemption from winning the Johnny Walker Classic in 2008 expires at the end of this season, and he needs to finish in the top 125 on the money list for a full card in 2011.

After finishing tied for fourth at the Scandanavian Open in Sweden this morning, the 120-thousand dollar prize has moved him up to 92nd.

Brown says he's pretty happy with how the year's going, and hopes having experienced the pressure of teeing off late on the final day will help him continue his form.
