The Wellington halfback Alby Mathewson will stay with the All Blacks this week as they prepare for the return Bledisloe Cup Tri Nations clash with Australia in Christchurch.
Jimmy Cowan is nursing sore ribs following Saturday night's 49-28 victory in Melbourne and he is unlikely to be available for selection.
Mathewson has been troubled with an ankle injury and will be assessed this week.
Rene Ranger and Liam Meesam have also rejoined the All Blacks squad after playing in the NPC over the weekend.
