The All Black halfback Jimmy Cowan is unlikely to be available for selection for this weekend's Tri-Nations Bledisloe Cup test against Australia in Christchurch.
Cowan was forced off the field in the first half of the All Blacks 49-28 win over the Wallabies in Melbourne on Saturday night.
Assistant coach Steve Hansen says Cowan's prospects don't look good.
Rene Ranger and Liam Meesam have also rejoined the All Blacks squad after playing in the NPC over the weekend.
