The Australian hockey coach Ric Charlesworth fears the Kookaburras may be victims of their own success with cashed-up European clubs lining up to sign them.
Charlesworth's men clinched the Champions Trophy in Germany on Monday with a 4-nil demolition of England in the final at Monchengladbach.
They won every game in the round-robin tournament featuring the world's top six teams.
The success followed the World Cup win in Delhi in March and Charlesworth is now targeting Commonwealth Games gold to complete a clean sweep in 2010 and keep them on target for Olympic Gold in London in 2012.
However, he believes it will be hard for his side to keep producing results while so many are playing in professional leagues in Germany, Spain and the Netherlands.
Charlesworth says it is hard for the team to meet up for regular training sessions and he also fears the crowded playing schedule in Europe could burn his players out.
He says ten of his top 18 players are based in Europe.
