England media turns on errant Broad

England's cricket media have turned on their Ashes hero Stuart Broad for throwing the ball at the Pakistani batsman Zulqarnain Haider on the third day of the second Test at Edgbaston.

The fiery fast bowler was given a roasting by the country's media for his petulance, and was fined half his match fee.

The former England Nasser Hussain wrote in his newspaper column that Broad had been pushing his luck for some time, and he deserved a significant fine, also because there were rumblings particularly on the sub-continent that Broad had been treated leniently in the past because his father Chris is an ICC match referee.

England are 2-nil up in their 4-match series against Pakistan after winning the Edgbaston test by 9 wickets.
