The former world tennis number one, Roger Federer, has had a positive start to his US Open build up with a straight sets win over Juan Ignacio Chela in the second round of the Toronto Masters.

After dropping to world No.3 Federer is working on a trial basis with coach Paul Annacone, who was Pete Sampras' former coach, as he tries to make up lost ground following surprise quarter-final exits at the French Open and Wimbledon.
