Promoted Millwall have roared to the top of the Championship with a 4-0 thrashing of Hull City.

The Lions are back in the second tier for the first time in four years and are now ahead of QPR on goal difference, after the south London outfit demolished Bristol City 3-0 last weekend.

QPR won 3-0 against Sheffield United to give boss Neil Warnock a happy return to the club he managed for eight years.

Roy Keane's Ipswich were held to a 1-1 draw by Burnley and Portsmouth drew 1-1 with Reading.

There were also wins to Cardiff, Barnsley, Norwich and Swansea.

Leicester drew 0-0 with Middlesbrough.
