Rossi to pair up with Ducati in Italian pairing

The seven-time world MotoGP champion Valentino Rossi has signed a two-year deal to race with Ducati from 2011.

The 31-year-old Yamaha rider and defending champion will replace Australia's former world champion Casey Stoner, who will race for Honda next season after four years with the Italian team.

Rossi finished fifth in the Czech Grand Prix overnight but his chances of retaining his world title have already been dealt a major blow after he missed six weeks of the season after breaking his leg at Mugello.
