Andy Murray has beaten Roger Federer in straight sets 7-5 7-5 to defend his Toronto Masters tennis title, confirming the Briton as one of the red-hot favourites for the U.S. Open at the end of the month.
Murray was in strong form on the Canadian hardcourts, sweeping aside world number one Rafael Nadal and Federer to claim his first tournament victory of the season.
