Federer back up to second in world rankings

Roger Federer is back up to No.2 in the world tennis rankings despite his straight sets loss at the weekend to Andy Murray in the final of the Toronto Masters.

Federer had fallen to third behind Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic after losing his Wimbledon crown in July, but he beat Djokovic in the semi-finals of the Canadian event.

Nadal, who lost to Andy Murray in the semi-finals in Toronto, still holds a handsome lead as world number one, and he's assured of being the top seed for the US Open, starting at the end of this month.
