A young Italian cyclist has successfully appealed against a 20-year doping ban.

23 year old Gianni Ros took his case to the Court of Arbitration for Sport which found da Ros guilty of all but one charge, but found the 20 year ban excessive and reduced it to four years.

Da Ros had only just turned professional when he was one of 11 people arrested by police in March last year after a long-running investigation into doping across Italian sport.
