North Harbour confirmed for All Whites-Honduras match

New Zealand Football has confirmed North Harbour Stadium as the venue for the first All Whites home match against fellow World Cup finalists Honduras on October the 9th.

The second match in the double header, against World Cup quarter finalists Paraguay, is three days later in Wellington.

New Zealand Football's chief executive Michael Glading ays overseas clubs have to make their All Whitesavailable because the matches are within the FIFA's international window.

Glading says it makes sense for the Auckland region to host the first match, rather than Christchurch, as the bigger population base provides a great chance to sell out the ground and give the All Whites a rousing welcome home.

He says it's not often they face the dilemma of where to host two internationals inside a four day window and the interest shown from all regions and councils is encouraging.

There'll also be free public transport to the ground from key routes around Auckland and extra seating at the stadium.
