McCaw likely to be named for Wallabies test

There's increasing speculation that the All Blacks captain Richie McCaw will be named today in the lineup for Saturday's Tri-Nations Bledisloe Cup test against the Wallabies in Sydney.

McCaw seems to have made a full recovery from the ankle injury he suffered five weeks ago and he is likely to be bracketed with Daniel Braid when the team is named this afternoon.

Braid, who's busting to return to the side five years after his last appearance, says he was impressed with the Wallabies loosies in their win over the Springboks last weekend.

He says the likes of Rocky Elsom get through a lot of work while Smith and Waugh are excellent scavengers.

The Wallabies have some concern about the fitness of their loose forwards Wycliff Palu and Rocky Elsom on the eve of their team announcement.
