The runaway Kiwi league star Sonny Bill Williams is due to meet up with officials from the French rugby club Toulon this week according to the French newspaper L'Equipe.
Williams, who is travelling on his Samoan passport, has been holed up in London for the last few days trying to arrange an entry visa to France.
L'Equipe says Williams will meet up with Toulon coach Tana Umaga as soon as he arrives in France.
The legal battle to try and stop Williams switching to rugby is heating up, with NRL lawyers trying to find Williams so he can be served with papers forcing him to return to Australia for a court hearing.
Meanwhile Williams' lawyers are reported to be preparing a case claiming his contract with the Bulldogs league team was invalid because the NRL's salary cap effectively restricted the amount of money he could earn, and was therefore a restraint of trade.
