Australian Olympic cycling hopes have been dealt a blow after Tour de France runner-up Cadel Evans pulled out of the time trial through injury.
Evans is also in doubt for the Olympic road race because of a knee injury suffered in an accidental stumble at his team's function after the Tour on Sunday night.
But the depth of Australian cycling means that they can call on three-time world champion Michael Rogers as his replacement.
Injuries have already ruled out world champion 400m hurdler Jana Rawlinson and world record-holding race walker Nathan Deakes from Australia's Olympic campaign.
