The All Blacks go into their last home match of the season when they play Australia on Saturday night in Auckland with Richie McCaw playing his first match for six weeks as he takes back the captaincy of a side with preparations derailed by injuries and positional changes.

They'd already been knocked off track by the narrow loss to the Springboks and the Wallabies' surprisingly emphatic win last Saturday.

There's been widespread criticism of the All Blacks' tactics, tackling and ball retention in Sydney and it seems it's not all from outside the squad as McCaw says he's noticed a real edginess in training this week.
