The Bejing Olympics get underway at the end of the week but the New Zealand women's football team open the New Zealand campaign on Wednesday night.
The Football Ferns play Japan at Qinhaungdao in their Group G opener and captain Hayley Moorwood says the team's looking forward to the attention they'll get as the first New Zealand competitors at the Olympics.
Kick-off for the Japan game and hence New Zealand's Olympics is nine o'clock Wednesday night.
