Dean relaxed about road race

6:50 am on 9 August 2008

The New Zealand road cyclist Julian Dean admits to being somewhat relaxed about his event at the Olympics, which he hopes will benefit him in Beijing today.

The four-time Tour de France rider is also about to take part in his fourth Olympics.

He'll be in a three-strong New Zealand team which also includes Tim Gudsell and Glen Chadwick.

It's a hilly course which doesn't suit the sprinter, but he says the one-off nature of this ride will hopefully help him.
