The New Zealand golfer Michael Campbell is just five shots off the pace after the opening round of the USPGA Golf Championships in Michigan.
Campbell's carded a three over par 73 to lie in a tie for 41st place just five shots off the joint leaders, Jeev Milka Singh of India and Sweden's Robert Karlsson, who are two under par.
They hold a one-shot lead on a group of four golfers including Spain's Sergio Garcia.
New Zealand's other representative in the field, Mark Brown, isn't as well placed. Brown's shot a seven over par 77 and is in a tie for 98th.
