Blacks Sticks come from behind to beat Korea

5:33 am on 12 August 2008

The New Zealand men's hockey team has scored a come-from-behind 3-1 victory over Korea in their opening match at the Beijing Olympics.

Korea dominated the first half and led at half time, however the Black Sticks began to gain some control in the second half and then dominated after Hayden Shaw scored the first of his 3 goals.

Shaw, who is known as one of the world's best drag-flickers of penalty corners, converted all three of their attempts.

New Zealand next play Spain on Wednesday.
