Young sailors enjoy first Olympic outing

New Zealand's youngest ever Olympic sailors Peter Burling and Carl Evans have turned in a creditable performance after day one of the 470 competition at the Qingdao sailing venue.

In shifty conditions with winds of four to seven knots the pair finished seventh and tenth in the first two races.

Their coach Nathan Handley says they would prefer a stronger breeze but they're certainly satisifed with the way things went and thoroughly enjoyed their Olympic debut.
