NZ eventing team finishes fifth

The New Zealand three-day eventing team has finished fifth at the Olympics.

They improved one place during the final phase, the showjumping, at the equestrian venue in Hong Kong.

The gold went to Germany with Australia taking silver and Great Britain bronze.

Caroline Powell was the best-placed New Zealander in 14th with 73.20 penalities, three places ahead of Mark Todd with 77.60.
