All Black flanker Daniel Braid's little brother Luke has been nominated for the International Rugby Board's Junior Player of the Year title.

Luke Braid also plays on the flank and is the son of former All Blacks lock Gary Braid.

Braid was a member of the New Zealand team which won the IRB's Junior World Championship earlier this year.

The captain of that team, Chris Smith, has also been nominated for the title along with English halfback Joe Simpson.

The winner will be announced in London on November 23rd.
