New Zealand rower Emma Twigg has missed a place in the final of the women's single sculls at the Olympic Games in Beijing after a photo finish was needed to separate her from the Polish rower in their semi final.
Twigg has finished fourth behind Belarus, Bulgaria and Poland, missing a place in the final by 5 100ths of a second.
