The New Zealand coxless pair of George Bridgewater and Nathan Twaddle have produced a strong finish to make the final of their event at the Olympic Games in Beijing.
Bridgewater and Twaddle started slowly but powered home to take second place behind the Canadians with South Africa in third place.
The coxless pair join men's single sculler Mahe Drysdale in a final at the rowing but women's single sculler Emma Twigg has not qualified after being beaten into fourth place in her semi final in a photo finish with Poland.
