The New Zealand double sculls of Rob Waddell and Nathan Cohen have clinched a berth in the rowing finals at the Olympic Games in Beijing.

Waddell and Cohen have finished third in their semi final behind Australia and Slovenia.

The double sculls join the men's single sculls and men's coxless pair who have qualified from today's semi finals to take their place in Saturday's finals.

Only women's single sculler Emma Twigg has missed a finals berth from today's semi finals.

Still to row their semi final is the men's coxless four.
