The New Zealand women's hockey team are out of medal contention at the Beijing Games after Great Britain came from behind to win 2-1.

Gemma Flynn gave the Black Sticks the lead but the lower-ranked Britain hit back with two unanswered goals.

It's the UK's first win of the tournament and keeps their hopes of qualifications alive, while dumping the winless New Zealanders out.

Britain are now fourth in Pool B with two games remaining while the defending champions Germany beat the United States 4-2 to top the group with three wins from three.

Argentina defeated Japan 2-1 in the other Pool B game.

The Netherlands and Australia made it three wins out of three in Pool A, beating China 1-0 and South Africa 3-0 respectively.

In the other Pool A game, Spain beat South Korea 2-1.
