The Springbok halfback Fourie du Preez is predicting a kicking duel with the All Blacks in Sunday mornng's Tri-Nations match at Cape Town.
Du Preez says the kicking game worked particularly well for the All Blacks when they defeated Australia 39-10 in Auckland two weeks ago.
He says he's expecting more of the same from Jimmy Cowan, who he's played against since under-19 level.
Du Preez is starting his first Test since the World Cup after breaking a hand at the end of the Super 14.
His own astute kicking game will be an added boost for the Springboks, who will also have greater impact in the lineout thanks to the inclusion of Andries Bekker in place of the injured Bakkies Botha.
The New Zealand assistant coach Wayne Smith says Bekker, who is 2.08 metres or six feet eight inches tall, will be a big threat.
