Beatrice Faumuina is out of the discus at the Beijing Olympics.
Her best throw of 57.15 was only good enough for 28th in the first round.
The athletes had to throw either 61.5 metres or be in the top 12 to qualify.
Faumuina could manage neither and she finished 28th of the 38 entered.
The 33-year-old former World Champion has suggested she may have another games in her yet.
Stephanie Brown Trafton of the United States was top with a throw of 62.77 metres.
