George will turn out for Mystics

Temepara George has confirmed she will play for the Northern Mystics in next year's trans Tasman netball competition.

There had been some doubt about the star centre playing, following the sacking of Mystics coach Yvonne Willering.

Mystics chief executive Mark Cameron says George wanted to show respect to the departed coach and take some time to consider her position before re-affirming her commitment with the side.

The Mystics also expect to re-sign defender Vilimaina Davu shortly, along with a number of other 2008 players such as Sheryl Scanlan and Leina de Bruin.

Yesterday the side announced the signing of former Silver Fern defender Debbie White, the goal attack/goal shoot Jade Topia, wing attack Grace Rasmussen and the Samoan goal shoot Katherine Latu.

The Mystics hope to have a new coach in place by mid-September.
