Manchester United midfielders Michael Carrick and Ryan Giggs will miss up to three weeks of the new English football season with injury.
Carrick limped out of this morning's one all draw with Newcastle with an ankle injury while Giggs also had to subbed due to a hamstring problem.
The injuries have come at a bad time for United who are already without a number of first choice players through injury and had to give a Premiership debut to young striker Frazier Campbell today.
