Cole urges England to emulate UK Olympic success

Chelsea's midfielder Joe Cole has urged the England fooball team to emulate the success of other British sports sides, including that of the athletes currently competing at the Beijing Olympics.

Britain are third in the medals table with 12 golds and England won the 2003 rugby World Cup as well the 2005 Ashes cricket series against the world number one side before the Australians regained it at home.

Cole says ahead of the opening international of the season against the Czech Republic on Thursday that England's footballers have got to start winning too.

He says he'll feel his England career has been a failure if it ends without winning a major tournament.
