Drivers praise preparations but delay track verdict

Formula One's leading drivers have praised the preparations for this weekend's European Grand Prix but delayed their verdict on Valencia's new street circuit.

The circuit has been designed with 25 corners as it winds around the port area of Spain's third largest city but also contains straights and overtaking opportunities.

The organisers hope it can provide something of the atmosphere of the Monaco Grand Prix while generating the passing moves not normally associated with that race.

Ferrari's Felipe Massa says it's going to be an exciting track and the championship-leading Briton Lewis Hamilton of McLaren says it looks as if everyone has done a great job.
