It was a rather tired and sore Nick Willis who fronted the media following his historic bronze medal run in the 1500 metres at the main Olympic Stadium early Tuesday morning.
It is 32 years since a New Zealander has won an Olympic medal on the track.
Willis says his result should set him up to continue running at the top level for the next half a dozen years.
He says this one result should be able to help him pay off his mortgage.
