New Zealand's Danny Lee has taken one of Tiger Wood's records, becoming the youngest golfer to win the US Amateur championship.
Eighteen-year- old Lee is six months younger than Woods when he won the first of his three amateur titles.
The win --- which will give Lee entry to the US and British Open championships and a likely entry to a third golfing major, the US Masters, is being hailed as New Zealand's best ever performance in amateur golf.
New Zealand golf's high performance manager David Graham says it eclipses New Zealand's 1992 win in the Eisenhower Trophy.
Lee will lead the New Zealand team in Adelaide next and although it's been suggested he couid make more when he becomes a professional if he plays as a Korean Graham says he's a "Kiwi through and through".
