The Manchester United defender Nemanja Vidic has denied launching a scathing attack on English life and the weather in Manchester.

Vidic gave an interview to a Russian football magazine in which he bemoaned the lack of options for a social lifeand claimed he would like to move to Spain in the future because Manchester's weather is so bad.

The Serbia central defender is reported to have said people don't have time to feel the joy of life in England because they work so hard and talk to people only at lunch.

And Manchester's main attraction is the timetable at the railway station where trains leave for less rainy cities.

But now he says he was misquoted and while he found it hard to settle after moving from Spartak Moscow he's now enjoying life at Manchester United and very happy to be a part of a great club.
